Short Attention Span + Art Cancer + Amnesia = no TSBTQ
-headshot-
Yes, I forgot my story, because I didn't write it down. So now when I go back to school after the weekend, I can expect that I won't live past first period.
great...
But at least now I've learned a valuable lesson that I can pass on to you.
If you want to create a webcomic:
1. Think long and hard about the plot make sure you don't tell anyone and get their hopes up. That way if you figure you didn't like it after all you can just move on to another idea and so on and so forth until you find one you're really sure you want to stick with. Then you can tell your close friends about the story if you're concerned if others will like it or not.
2. Once you've found a good idea you really like and are willing to take time to make, write it out. So you can play the pictures through your head while you read it and can get a better picture of what is going to happen and how it's going to happen. This'll also be better for your editor to read and edit. And if you think you don't need an editor YOU ARE HIGHLY MISTAKEN! An editor is someone that isn't in your brain and doesn't see the story from your eyes, they help you understand what you need to do in order for the reader to get the same experience of reading your story as you would.
3. If you have the attention span to finish writing it out, then you can draw out a storyboard of at least the first couple of chapters, if you're too lazy to do that then that's fine, just do the lineart for the first chapter. This way if your planning to do scheduled updates you don't have to rush yourself before the deadline to finish everything, all ya gotta to is tone or color the pages. And you don't really have to do the storyboard, that's just if you want to be professional and make it 100% perfect. Or if your editor wants to see what you're going to draw and edit it before you get it on the final draft, but that can also work for the lineart-ed pages too.
4. After you've completed that you're finally ready to tell the internet! You can tell them the main idea of the story, when you'll be updating, and anything else you want to tell them about it. Just make sure you don't give out any spoilers xP they might slip their way out if you're not careful about your summary for the plot, you might even want your editor to look over it before you post it up.
5. A good way to make sure you keep yourself on track is to draw some of the lineart for the pages in the next chapter in between updates to be a little ahead of schedule. Once again you don't have to because you usually have a good excuse to take a longer break before updating after you've finished a chapter, but it's gonna be much easier if you do. And if you can't update because you're going on vacation or aren't going to be on the computer as often for a period of time, be sure to notify your readers about your league of absence and tell them why you're not going to be able to update. Don't worry about them pelting fruits at you for not being on for a long time if you tell them why you're gone, I'm sure that they'll understand that you have a life just like them.
And that's about it, follow these rules and you'll be able to make a successful webcomic. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go prepare for my death.
i remember the basics but i can't remember what happened where. it's like my brain mixed around information while i was procrastinating so now i can't even start... don't hurt me

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
